| At The Earth’s Core pairs Doug McClure with Amicus mainstay Peter Cushing as adventurers imprisoned underground by telepathic bird monsters. Director Kevin Connor’s insane man-in-suit monsters make Land’s puppets look like natural history: the fire-breathing toad is a highlight.
